Panic on Eid weekend as fire gutted a section of the popular foam market in Mushin, Lagos state, today 1st Of August.
Spokesperson for the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Nosa Okunbor said The incident happened around 1pm at 16, Ladipo Street in Mushin.
Mr. Nosa Okunbo also stated that first responders including LASEMA operatives have been deployed in the scene to prevent the fire from Increasing.
According to Mr Nosa, no casualty has been recorded, but search and rescue operation is ongoing.
“The fire, which cause is yet to be ascertained, has now been brought under control and stopped from further escalating to adjoining buildings, with no loss of life nor injuries recorded so far at the scene of the incident.
“LRT led by the DG/CEO LASEMA, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, officers of the Nigerian Police, LASG Fire, LRU Fire, LNSC are responders at the scene working together to curtail the inferno from escalating to more adjoining buildings. Rescue operation ongoing.” He siad
