The spread of novel Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) in Nigeria continues drive on a high spike as the latest statistics provided by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control shows that Nigeria now has 43,151 confirmed cases.
462 new confirmed cases and 1 death were recorded in Nigeria on the 31st of July 2020.
According to the NCDC, the 462 new cases were reported from 16 states- FCT (93), Lagos (78), Plateau (64), Kaduna (54), Oyo (47), Ondo (32), Adamawa (23), Bauchi (19), Rivers (9), Ogun (9), Delta (9), Edo (7), Kano (6), Enugu (6), Nasarawa (5), Osun (1)
Meanwhile, the latest numbers bring Lagos state total confirmed cases to 15,121, followed by Abuja (3,803), Oyo (2,760), Edo (2,292), Rivers (1,791), Kano (1,597), Delta (1,510), Kaduna (1,457), Ogun (1,394), Plateau (1,188), Ondo (1,155), Enugu (807), Ebonyi (785), Kwara (753), Katsina (742), Borno (613), Gombe (607), Bauchi (560), Abia (545), and Osun (524).
