The president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, joined other Muslim faithful to observe the celebration of the 2020 Eid-El-Kabir at the State House in Abuja.
Most of the President’s retinue and close Family members were also present at the state house, as they celebrated with the President in splendour.
The President had earlier said on his verified Twitter account that he would observe the Eid-El-Kabir with his family and also follow the guidelines of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 and the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs.
The president also wished Nigerians a safe and happy Eid Celebration.
He wrote on Twitter: “I observed the Eid El-Kabir prayers at home with my family, this morning, in keeping with the advisories from the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 and the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs. Once again I wish us all a safe and happy Eid.”
