The Federal Government has announced that the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations organised by the National Examination Council (NECO) would start in October.
Ben Goong who is The Director, Press and Public Relations, Federal Ministry of Education, disclosed this in a statement titled: “FG Rolls Out Schedule For National Examination,”
Goong said the examination would start on October 5 and end November 18.
He also stated that the National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB) examinations would commence September 21 and finish October 15.
The statement read: “Registration for NECO(SSCE) which is ongoing will end on September 10, 2020, and there shall be no extension for registration whatsoever.
The Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba, therefore, directed all examination bodies to release details of their examination timetables in the next seven days.”
The federal Government had earlier announced the reopening of school for student who are writing their final examination such as SS3 and JSS student
They also announced that the 2020 West African Senior School Certificate (WASSCE) Examinations would commence on August 17.
