27 Rivers state house of Assembly Lawmakers loyal to the Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike have defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC this morning.
Wike is embroiled in a godfatherism tussle with his successor the Rivers state governor Siminilaye Fabura.
The latest political turmoil worsens the political space in rivers where no less than 27 lawmakers of PDP defected to the APC.
It’s not clear if the FCT Minister would also join the party being loyal to President Bola Tinubu who has wooed Wike with succes and made him minister of the FCT.
Wike on Friday said that 27 out of 31 lawmakers in the Rivers House of Assembly are against Mr Fubara.
The Rivers House of Assembly is decided into two factions one loyal to Fabura and the other loyal to Wike
