Embattled CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele has pleaded not guilty to two count charges of illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
He is currently at the a federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos State.
Defence council and former President of the Nigeria Bar Association NBA, Joseph Daudu (SAN), leads Emefiele’s defence team.
After the plea, Joseph Daudu, told the court that his client has been in detention for the past 4 weeks. He also told Justice Nicholas Oweibo that the application for bail has been filed and served on the prosecution.

Emefiele earlier arrived at the high court in a white ”Jalabiya” holding what appears to be a red book.
