The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, has unveiled former UN Under-Secretary General, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, as President Muhammadu Buhari’s new Chief of Staff.
He unveiled him at the virtual meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) on Wednesday.
control TV earlier lead the developing story of Gambari rumored to be declared the new COS. He hails from Kwara State, and was the Minister of External Affairs between 1984 and 1985.
He served meritoriously in the United Nations as Under Secretary-General and Special Adviser to the Secretary-General on Africa between 1999 and 2005.
Gambari replaces late Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, who lost his battle to the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19, on April 17, 2020.
