Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Wednesday announced 394 new COVID-19 infections.
The new cases which indicate a decline compared with the figures reported in the previous months, take the total confirmed cases in the country to 159,646.

According to the NCDC’s report, the fresh cases were recorded in 18 States of the federation.
The breakdown of the figure on a State-by-State analysis revealed the following; Bauchi (75), Lagos (36), Akwa Ibom (33), FCT (32), Nasarawa (29), Kaduna (26), Rivers (25), Ogun (22), Oyo (21), Edo (20), Taraba (18), Imo (17), Ondo (17), Borno (8), Plateau (7), Zamfara (4), Osun (3), and Kano (1).
It added that 5 persons died of COVID-19 complications.

Meanwhile, a total of 927 COVID-19 patients recovered and had been discharged from various isolation facilities across Nigeria.
“Today’s report includes data from Taraba State recorded over the last two days.”
Till date, the nation has recorded a total of 139,983 recoveries and 1,993 deaths.
