The Centre for Islamic Studies of the Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto, has expressed satisfaction over the level of preparation towards hosting this year’s National Qur’anic Memorisation Competition.

The Centre which is responsible for organising and coordination of the National Qur’anic Memorisation Competition for the selection of participants for International Qur’anic Memorisation Competition, commended the government of Zamfara state for accepting to host the 2022 national event and the preparation made so far towards hosting the National Qur’anic Memorisation Competition, from where winners are determined and prepared for the International Competition.
A high powered deligation from the Centre for Islamic Studies, of the Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (Organiser of the Musabaqa) was in Gusau, the Zamfara State Capital on Tuesday 7th December, 2022 to assess the level of preparedness by the hosting state.

The deligation was Chaired by the Chairman National Organising Committee of the Musabaqa, Prof. Yahaya Muhammad Al-Amin.
Members of the visitation team include representive of the Vice Chencellor of the University Prof. Bello D. Bada, National Coordinator of the Musabaqa Prof. Abubakar Yalwa Muhammad.
Others were, Chairman Board of Trustees Prof. Saadiya Omar, Representative of State Co-ordinators Mal. Muhammad Abdullahi Azare and Secretary of the National Organising Committee Yusuf A. Muhammad Koko.
The places visited by the deligation include venue of the National Musabaqa of both Male and Female contingents as well as thier accommodations.
In his remark after visiting all the proposed venues and hostels provided for the National Musabaqa by hosting Zamfara State Government as well as interactive session with officials of local organizing committee, the leader of the visiting team, Professor Yahaya Muhammad Al-Amin said they were excited on what they saw, adding that the level of preparation towards the National Musabaqa was really impressive and commendable.
During the visit, the deligation members were received and conducted round by Zamfara State Deputy Chairman of Qur’anic Memorisation Competition Committee, Malam Yusuf Abdullahi Mafara and some members of local organizing committee of the Musabaqa.
It could be recall that the center for
Islamic studies of Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto approved for Zamfara State Government to host this year’s National Qur’anic Memorisation Competition scheduled to commence on Friday 16th/Dec/2022 and ended on Saturday 24th/Dec/2022.
All the Qur’anic Memorisation Competition Sessions of both male and Female Contingents would be held in Gusau, the Capital City of Zamfara State.”
