Nigeria continues to record a decline in its COVID-19 cases as the Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced 187 new infections on Wednesday.
NCDC reports that the new cases were recorded in 18 states of the federation.

A State-by-State breakdown of the fresh cases reveals the following; Lagos-42, Taraba-29, Edo-17, Abia-13, Rivers-11, Kaduna-10, Katsina-9, Oyo-9, Kwara-7, Plateau-7, Ondo-5, Bayelsa-4, Cross River-4, Ogun-4, Osun-4, Akwa Ibom-3, Borno-3 and Nasarawa-3.
The Centre for Disease Control further disclosed that 9 persons died from complications resulting from the virus while 328 persons recovered and were discharged from various isolation centres across the country.
Currently, Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases stand at 89,163161,261; 146,395 recoveries and 2,027 deaths.
