The Supreme Court of Nigeria has fixed Wednesday, October 30, to hear the appeal filed by candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the February 23 presidential election, Atiku Abubakar, and his running mate, Peter Obi, against the judgment of the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal that affirmed the election of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The five-man tribunal had in a unanimous decision on September 11 upheld Buhari’s re-election, ruling that Atiku failed to prove that Atiku and his party on September 23 filed 66 grounds of appeal before the Supreme Court to challenge the judgment of the tribunal.
