Last Year was graced with an awesome Pepper Dem season of the BBnaija Edition season 4, as Mercy Eke took the Crown Making her the first female Big Brother Naija winner.
The show which had millions of Nigerians and fans from other country excited, wasn’t without its many twist and turns and much to the pleasure of many fans of the reality show, it lived up to the theme, Pepper Dem.
The Show Ended Last Year But The Drama Continues. let’s go back in time and recount some moments that will remain with us for a long time to come.
MIKE’S I GO REPORT MOMENT:
Chances are if Teni’s Case comes on, fans of Big Brother Naija will remember Mike with a chuckle. The episode started with the housemates rehearsing for the Pepsi Know Da Lyrics challenge and Omashola decided to help Mike out with the lyrics of Teni’s Case.
While the duo rehearsed, Mike, despite his best efforts, kept pronouncing “report” with a British accent, though the song was in pidgin English. Followers of the show then took to Twitter to express their amusement at the situation.
Mike and Omashola would later go on to share several more moments, including their Showmax movie treat.
FRODD BEIGN REJECTED BY ESTHER
Frodd cried On the very first day of entering the BBNaija house, Frodd was the first to display his soft and vulnerable side to his fellow housemate.
The fact that he was seen as a soft person did little to stop the buzz that shook social media after he shed tears due to his relationship proposal being rejected by fellow housemate, Esther.
MERCY AND TACHA BLUNT CONVO
This was one episode fans looked forward to. Ebuka Obi-Uchendu sat with the two ladies, Mercy and Tacha. They tried to iron out their differences, but it didn’t quite have the sparks like their fans expected it would.
The good thing is this was their longest face-to-face conversation since they left the BBNaija house, but did it yield a good result?
OMOSHOLA, VENITA, FRODD LOVE TRIANGLE
This one was a case of someone liking someone and the other person liking that person too but liking another person too and that one liking someone else, and the bro-code was broken. Omashola liked Venita. Frodd liked Venita, Venita was the queen, the angel of their lives.
Even after Omashola told Frodd to stay clear, he broke the bro code, since Esther wasn’t letting him in, Frodd wanted someone different. Everyone is good now!
TACHA TACHA TACHA
Who can forget Tacha’s now-infamous interview with Ebuka, where she famously responded saying “Tacha, Tacha, Tacha” after the show host asked her to name three characteristics of a Big Brother Naija winner?
Prying further, Ebuka asked Tacha if she was a characteristic, and even asked her to define the word. But Tacha still maintained her answer.
Tacha would later be issued two strikes for rudeness and was eventually disqualified from the show over her fight with Mercy.
CINDY AND EBUKA LUDO MOMENT
The incident which rocked social media platforms saw Enkay being evicted from the house. Trouble started after Enkay refused to play another round of Ludo with fellow newcomer Cindy while in the house.
Judging from the manner in which she shooed Cindy away, fans of the show were outraged by her behaviour which they described as condescending and thus proceeded to vote against her.
INTRODUCTION OF NEW HOUSE MATES MID-SHOW
Big Brother has always been known to introduce new twists to the show and this season wasn’t left out. In the fourth week of the show, five new housemates were introduced to the house, turning the game on its head.
Venita, one of the newly introduced housemates, would go on to cause some major chinks in the budding romantic relationship between Khaffi and Gedoni, as well as be a third wheel in the relationship between Frodd and Esther. Elozonam forged a relationship with Diane, while Joe got involved in a fight with Tacha which earned him a strike.
MERCY BUYING IMMUNITY
If there’s anything fans of the Big Brother Naija Pepper Dem season know, it’s that Mercy loves to win. They also know that Ike loves his money and Bet9ja coins. It was this winning streak that led Mercy to ask her love interest, Ike, to give her coins, which she strategically used to purchase immunity and secure her place in the finals.
Asides from cementing her place in the finals, fans also discovered the depth of feelings Ike had for Mercy to have donated his coins to her.
MERCY AND TACHA FEUD
The fight between Mercy and Tacha which led to the latter’s disqualification, remains the mother of all highlights in the show. Mercy who flicked her hair in Tacha’s face during a heated argument led Tacha to pull Mercy’s hair.
Despite having being forgiven by Biggie and all her initial strikes cancelled, Tacha was disqualified from the show; less than 10 days to the grand finale.
TACHA DISQUALIFICATION!!!!!
Tacha became the first housemate to be disqualified from the Big Brother Naija Pepper Dem House.
Biggie’s reason for her disqualification was over the altercation she had with Mercy .
Tacha had in her fight with Mercy pulled her hair twice. Biggie sent her packing for obviously breaking the rules of the house. Mercy, on the other hand, was handed two strikes for her altercation with Tacha.
Many Nigerians Reacted towards Biggies Decision to disqualify tacha and leave mercy … However Tacha has become the most celebrated housemate even after been disqualified.
