Manchester city and Arsenal took the knee in support of black lives matter prior to their premier league clash today.
Both sets of players for Manchester city and Arsenal kneeled in solidarity prior to kick-off on Wednesday night to show their support for the Black Lives Matter movement.
Sheffield United and Aston Villa staff and players had also taken a knee ahead of their game earlier in the day.
Premier League clubs and players have been in solidarity in expressing their support for the Black Lives Matter movement.
Players’ names on the back of their shirts are being replaced with the words “Black Lives Matter” for the first round of Premier League fixtures.
It follows on from the death of George Floyd, who was killed in Minneapolis police custody on May 25.
